Decks, patios, and outdoor living

Decks, cabanas, covered patios, and outdoor kitchens, built to the same standard as the house they are attached to.
Raised deck with white rails, lattice skirting, and lit stair risers at dusk

Outdoor work takes the weather every day, so the build matters. We build decks, cabanas with bars, covered patios with fireplaces and fans, and outdoor kitchens with a place for the TV.

The raised deck at the top of this page is a finished beach house job: gray composite boards, white vinyl rails, lattice skirting with storage doors built in, and stairs with recessed riser lights.

Covered patios and cabanas get the same carpentry as the inside of the house: beadboard ceilings, columns, trim, and built in bars. We also build paver walks and patios, like the curved walk and planting bed on this page. All permits and plans are handled.

Questions

Outdoor Living questions

Composite or wood decking?
Both have a place. Composite boards, like the gray deck on this page, need less upkeep than wood. Wood has a look of its own. We will talk through what fits your house and how you use the yard.
Does a deck need a permit?
Usually, yes. A deck is a structure, and towns and villages review them. We handle all permits and plans.
Can you build a covered patio with a fireplace?
Yes. The covered patio on this page has an outdoor fireplace, a TV, a fan, and a heater under a vaulted beadboard ceiling.
