Homes in Smithtown
Smithtown is the center of the town that shares its name, set along the Nissequogue River with Main Street running through the old center. Its best known landmark is the bull statue at the west end of Main Street.
Older houses near Main Street and the river sit alongside colonials and Capes from the early and middle twentieth century. Farther out, Smithtown fills with postwar ranches, split levels, and colonials, with larger homes toward Head of the Harbor and Nissequogue.
The work follows the house. Older homes need carpentry that respects what is there. Postwar homes are ready for extensions, dormers, new kitchens and baths, and outdoor living. We handle all permits and plans with the town, or with a village building department where the house is inside one.
